Coffee in the rocking chair

Sweet bitterness fills the air
With home brewed coffee on a rocking chair

My eyes roll over the silken drapes
Trying to understand life's mysterious ways.

Falling prey to the chaos around
My feet forgot to touch the ground

Carried away on unreal wings
Coerced to part ways with my precious things

They lost me or I lost them
Bound to be confused with jewels or gems

The coffee grew colder and so did my thoughts
Keeping scores of the things I had lost.

A broken chain and some old tapes
And some torn paper of different shapes.

The cars on the road emitting angry sounds
Like unsettled dispute of barking hounds

The air suffocates me as I open my window.
Foul play outside had no mercy to show

It engulfed me soon infecting every single cell
And forever that agony in me shall dwell.
