Slipping into deep slumber
a numbness creeps in
Hark back the tears of joy
and the pain scattered within
It ogles at you silently
from ignored corners of the room
Negotiating with a restless mind
Whilst gazing at the moon
The silence grows strong
a faint twilight bursts
Muted rays of sunlight
melting in the murk
Perfection of the darkness
now open to public glare
I slip into deep slumber
For the world isn’t fair
